What is Wealthy Affiliate (WA)?
Firstly, let’s get this over with… Wealthy Affiliate is NOT A SCAM.
It is a legitimate and solvent business with a membership of millions over the years and continues to be a leading platform training novice and expert affiliate marketers alike. It offers a very comprehensive package of training, tools, and community support offered 24/7 with a range of membership options to suit different budgets and needs.
Here’s what you can expect when you join Wealthy Affiliate in 2025:
1. Training and education
Wealthy Affiliate is renowned for its extensive training programs, designed to guide you through every step of building and growing your affiliate marketing business. You can join knowing nothing and will be led through a series of step-by-step video and text tutorials to help you choose your niche, set up your training hub and create your first website. Wealthy Affiliate has changed a lot since I joined in October 2017 and there are still more innovations coming this year. However, in 2025, you’ll have access to:
- Core Niche Training: 8 foundational classes that introduce key concepts in affiliate marketing.
- Advanced Courses: Detailed training on topics such as SEO, content creation, WordPress, Social Media Marketing and monetisation strategies. There are so many courses that you will need to pace yourself and work through your core training first, to stop yourself being overwhelmed.
- Live Webinars: Regular live sessions with industry experts and successful affiliates, providing insights and answering questions.

2. Tools and resources
Wealthy Affiliate provides a suite of tools to help you succeed in affiliate marketing:
- Business Hub: A centralised dashboard to manage your online business activities, track progress, and access resources. Here, you can find ideas for topics within your niche, suggestions for articles to write, and templates for writing common types of articles.
- Jaaxy: An advanced keyword research tool to help you find profitable niches and optimise your content including keyword research, site ranking data and search analysis to help you understand your competition
- SiteRubix: A platform for hosting your websites which can be your business sites or sites to practice on
- AI Word Credits: Credits that allow you to use AI-assisted content creation tools, making it easier to produce consistent high-quality content. This is a very useful tool, and members receive an amount of free credits per month to use with the content generator. However, you can also buy additional credits too.
- Affiliate research: Suggestions for affiliate programs to join with direct links to relevant programs.

3. Community and networking
One of my favourite standout features of Wealthy Affiliate is its supportive and collaborative community and I have made many friends in the membership there. Whether you visit the chat every day or never, this community is like no other. They are positive and supportive and want you to succeed. Many of them are experts in different aspects of online business and affiliate marketing and they are willing to share their knowledge for free and support the ‘pay-it-forward’ approach which exists on the platform.
In 2025, the platform will continue to enhance its community-driven programs such as:
- Ambassadorship Program: A revamped program that rewards active members for teaching, creating content, and helping others.
- Super Affiliate Conference: An all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas for top affiliates who achieve Super Affiliate status, providing opportunities to network with Kyle and Carson, industry leaders and to help mould the way forward. They also celebrate successes in a fun and friendly way.
- WA Blog: A member blog that anyone can add to, giving advice, advising members of the latest trends and innovations and celebrating successes
- Live Chat: A 24/7 resource where you can ask questions for instant answers – Kyle and Carson regularly pop into the chat to converse with members and answer queries first-hand
- General Community Support: A vibrant community of like-minded individuals where you can share experiences, ask questions, and receive feedback. In my opinion, this is second to none and is often one of the things that members praise the most – being in a supportive community of like-minded people.

4. Updates and innovations
Wealthy Affiliate is constantly evolving to meet the needs of its members. I can attest to this as I have been a witness to many changes over the years. Kyle and Carson have never sat back on their laurels but are continually pushing the boundaries of what is expected in a business. In 2025, you can look forward to:
- New Training Modules: Updated and expanded training content to keep you ahead of industry trends. With technology changing so rapidly, this is needed to keep pace with the industry.
- Enhanced Tools: Continuous improvements to existing tools and the introduction of new features to streamline your affiliate marketing efforts.
- Community Feedback: Regular updates based on member feedback to ensure the platform remains user-friendly and effective.
5. Business and website management
I know nothing about software or coding but I have made my websites using the integrated platform at WA. It has evolved over the years that I have been a member and this is one of the most exciting things about it – it is keeping up with the technology shifts, like bringing in AI-generated content and a structured approach to content creation. As a free member, you can benefit from:
- All-in-One Platform: Manage your entire affiliate marketing business from a single dashboard.
- Progress Tracking: Tools to track your progress, set goals, and measure your success.
- Analytics and Insights: Detailed analytics to help you understand your audience and optimize your strategies.
These have been invaluable to me as someone who doesn’t want to code, but I have learned a lot about websites and the back-office systems in the process. So much so, that I was able to build a website for my school and get paid for it!
6. Encouraging personal and professional growth
This is one of the great things about WA in my opinion – being surrounded by people who want you to succeed and are willing to help you out for free. WA runs:
- Ambassadorship Program: Opportunities to become an ambassador by contributing to the community through teaching, content creation, and support.
- Super Affiliate Conference: Exclusive events for top affiliates to network, learn, and celebrate their achievements.
- Skill Development: Access to resources that help you develop not only marketing skills but also personal growth and leadership abilities.
I love that WA has a very positive and growth mindset, helping beginners to believe in themselves and giving them the encouragement to step out of their comfort zone and succeed. The topic of a recent post is shown below.

7. Flexible membership tiers
Wealthy Affiliate offers several main membership tiers, each providing unique benefits to help you on your affiliate marketing journey:
- Free Starter Membership: Ideal for newcomers, this tier includes AI Word Credits, a practice website, basic access to the Jaaxy keyword research tool, and all the training, help and support you need to get started and create your own website.
- Premium Plus Membership: This tier unlocks the full potential of Wealthy Affiliate, providing access to all training courses, advanced tools, and unlimited support from the community and mentors. (Currently, $41.58/month if paid annually, or $99/month if paid monthly.
- Premium Plus Accelerated Membership: For those who are really serious about their affiliate marketing business, this tier offers additional perks such as exclusive events, advanced training, and the opportunity to achieve Super Affiliate status. It comes with a corresponding price tag of $208.08 per month if paid annually or $299 if paid monthly. The annual cost paid upfront for this membership is $2497 if paid annually, saving over $1000.
There are two options for the paid memberships – pay monthly or pay yearly. You can save a substantial amount if you choose and can afford to pay annually which is something I do. I have made back my membership fee each year from my online business.
The Premium membership shown above is a historical membership that is no longer offered to starter members.
My personal experience
I can honestly say that I have loved being a member of WA and have got a lot out of the platform as a member. I have made my investment back and if you want to read some of my experiences, then you can read them in the blogs I have written on the site below:
- Yes – you can make money at WA
- What you need to be successful at WA
- My annual WA fees are covered
- Expect the unexpected – my first paying website commission
I have written over 200 blogs on the WA site and all members are encouraged to share their successes too. If you join as a free member, you can read all these and more before making up your own mind.
Here’s a post I really like too since it has a lot of ideas and success stories from real people:
7 years of success stories at WA.
I now have 3 websites that I run (this being one of them) at a profit, in 3 different niches, but these are things that I am interested in and passionate about. I work from home and I don’t have a 9-5 job anymore, but I do do some online teaching for students who have special needs or have been excluded from school because that interests me.

Pros and cons
Like everything, Wealthy Affiliate has pros and cons. Here are my thoughts on each
Pros
- High trust ranking on Trustpilot
- Comprehensive training
- Supportive community
- Webhosting and website domain registration
- Regular updates
- Research tools
- Help with writing tasks using AI generator
- Positive mindset
- Potential for a passive income
- Pay-it-forward approach
The following is a screenshot of Trustpilot taken on 13/2/25. For an updated view, click on the image.

Cons
- Limited free plan – Users often can access the free plan for a certain time and then need to upgrade to access the full range of resources but this is like most free trials being offered.
- Potential to overwhelm beginners – Some people can be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of training and opportunities available when they first join. To overcome this, I suggest going through the recommended training which has a step-by-step approach in both video and written format. You can also reach out to the community for answers.
- Cost – Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. Building a business costs money and you have to invest in yourself to learn the skills you want. This is true if you are training to become a hairdresser, plumber or lawyer. The online world is no different but in my experience, the investment is worth it.
- It takes time and effort – This is one of the things that people who join sometimes fail to realise, or they are looking for a ‘get rich quick’ scheme and WA is definitely not that. To be successful you need to do the training and stick with it. Like any business, you get out what you put in!
Overall thoughts
In my opinion, WA is a legitimate company which offers outstanding training, tools and mentorship for anyone who wants to start an online business and I would highly recommend it to people who want to work towards something different in their lives. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your business to the next level, Wealthy Affiliate provides the resources and support you need.

It’s always interesting to see updated takes on Wealthy Affiliate, especially with how online marketing evolves each year. One thing I’ve always wondered is how their training compares to other platforms like Authority Hacker or Project 24 in terms of practical application. Do you feel their SEO and content creation strategies are still competitive in 2025, especially with AI-generated content becoming more prevalent? Also, how does the community aspect hold up for beginners versus more experienced marketers? Some platforms tend to cater more to one group than the other, so I’d love to hear thoughts on that.
Hi Slavisa. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and raising some questions. I believe that Wealthy Affiliate is the best training system around for people who want to start an online business, especially for beginners. Whilst all of the competitors you mention have training that is well thought through, both Authority Hacker and Project 24 are far more expensive, especially for people starting out. They are also more focused on creating authoritative niche sites, whereas with Wealthy Affiliate, there is a broader focus and a lot of people use the skills they learn to create online businesses that are not exclusively affiliate marketing. I myself made a lucrative career as a writer from things learned at Wealthy Affiliate so I have diverse and broad income streams.
With the community aspect of WA – in my opinion, there is nothing better. I love the friendliness and the positive attitude and have made many friends who can pick me up if I’m having a bad day. That is crucial as running an online business can be a lonely affair. However, at WA, there is always someone other to help, 24 hours a day!
Regarding the advent of AI, it’s true that this has exploded even in the last year. I love using AI tools and it has made content creation much easier for people who are not as confident at writing as others. Wealthy Affiliate has a lot of integrated tools using AI that come with the membership so it’s easy for non-writers to get started. As someone who makes money as a writer, I was initially sceptical about AI, but I have grown to love it (thanks partly to training I have accessed at Wealthy Affiliate). I now use AI often for writing, images and video creation and it has meant that I can increase my output substantially. A word of caution though – I ALWAYS edit things to give my own personal input to anything that I generate with AI so that I can stay authentic and know that the final voice is truly my own.
Thanks for your questions and I hope you will come back to the site soon.

Questions that anybody looking at Wealthy Affiliate may ask themselves for ultimate success:
1. How can I effectively utilize Wealthy Affiliate’s resources to achieve my specific affiliate marketing goals?
2. In what ways can engaging with the Wealthy Affiliate community enhance my learning and success in affiliate marketing?
Hi Iris. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I’m glad you are enjoying being a member of Wealthy Affiliate. I’m pleased too that you have found it a useful place to learn and grow your business and I totally agree with you about the value that WA adds with the community support.
To answer your questions, I think that WA is set up in the best way possible to help people achieve their specific marketing goals. They will have access to their own business hub which will lead them through the process step-by-step. There is also a lot of other information at WA including training on Pinterest, Social Media, YouTube and other ways of making a living online, so there should be something for everyone and every budget.
The community enhances the training because it’s there 24/7 and you can ask questions, post blogs, and learn from the experiences of others. This is invaluable and has helped me a lot in the time I’ve been at WA. And hopefully, I’ve helped a few people along the way too. All the best with your own online businesses.
